Plain language for the terms behind your fated dates. For how they fit together, see the Methodology.
A run of neighboring candidate birthdates that make a similar pattern against your chart, treated as one period. Only its representative date is listed, so one slow-moving pattern is not repeated on several adjacent dates.
All 365 or 366 birthdates in the chosen year are compared against your chart before the final list is selected. Different years can therefore return different numbers of separate strong periods.
The snapshot of the sky at the moment you were born — your fixed point of reference.
An aspect between your natal chart and the chart of someone born on that date — the driver behind every fated date. A transit, by contrast, is where a planet is on a given day; transits belong to the Forecast products, not to this one.
A meaningful angle between two bodies — conjunction (0°), sextile (60°), square (90°), trine (120°), opposition (180°).
The tolerance around an exact aspect. A contact counts while it is within orb, fading smoothly as the angle widens.
A sensitive point in your chart — the Sun, Moon, Ascendant and the like — that makes a contact feel personal rather than generic.
The two points where the Moon's path crosses the Sun's. The North and South Nodes carry themes of fate and direction; we use the True Node.
The Moon's mean apogee (Mean Black Moon Lilith) — a named point we read for magnetic, fated themes.
A tight contact from the Nodes, Saturn or Pluto in the other chart to one of your personal points — the mark of a genuinely fated birthdate, named for Ananke, goddess of necessity.
The strongest of six candidate birth times sampled evenly across the UTC day. It says which birth hours make the pattern strongest for a person born on that date — an hour-level band, never a minute-level claim.
The season-based zodiac that is standard in Western astrology.
