Refund & Cancellation Policy

One-time readings and interpretations are digital products. Forecast interpretations are subscriptions.
When you buy a one-time reading or interpretation you ask us to begin generating it straight away. Because it is digital content, a reading is final once it has been generated — that is the moment you have received what you paid for. A purchase that covers several readings becomes final one reading at a time, as each of them is generated.
Purchases are made through Google Play, so refund requests are handled under Google Play's refund policies, and you can request a refund from Google Play directly. Separately, if a technical fault on our side prevents your reading from being generated or delivered, we will re-run it or, if you prefer, refund you in full — email ananke@anankeastro.com with your order details.
A bundle of two to six years is one purchase at one price, so it is refunded as one order. There is no way to refund the years you have not opened while keeping the ones you have: refunding a bundle cancels every year still unopened. A reading that has already been generated stays in your account and remains readable — we do not withdraw a reading we have already delivered.
Readings you have paid for and not yet generated are held on your account as a balance, and that balance is not split up by which order paid into it. So if you buy twice and refund one of those orders, the refund can reduce a balance the other order paid into. Email ananke@anankeastro.com if that happens and we will put it right.
If you added tree planting to a reading, it was sold as part of that same purchase — one order, one price, one refund. There is nothing separate to cancel, and no way to refund one part without the other: refunding the order returns everything you paid, including the added amount.
We buy nothing until the refund window has closed, and then only once a month, so a refund almost always reaches us before anything has been spent. If an order is refunded after its trees have already been bought, you are still refunded in full — we absorb the cost, and we never reduce a count we have already published. Deleting your account does not withdraw an add-on you already paid for; those trees are still bought.
The added amount buys trees from a company, not a charity. It was not a donation and was not tax-deductible, so a refund leaves nothing for you to correct or claim back. The whole mechanism is set out on How Roots works.
Weekly interpretation plans (weekly or six-month billing) and monthly interpretation plans (monthly or annual billing) renew automatically through Google Play until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Google Play; your access continues until the end of the paid period, and we do not give partial refunds for the unused part of a period except where the law requires it. Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription — cancel it in Google Play as well. See our Terms of Service for the full subscription terms.
If you are a consumer in the UK, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel a digital purchase. By buying and asking us to generate your reading immediately, you consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose this right of cancellation once the reading has been generated.
Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived under the law of your country or state of residence.
