Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Anankeastro — the website and the Android app, which share one name. By using either, or buying a reading, you agree to them.

Anankeastro (the "Service") is operated by Ying Yuet Fat, an individual based in Hong Kong ("we", "us", "our"). Our postal address is 5A, Cha Kwo Ling Building, 135 Cha Kwo Ling Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong. You can reach us at ananke@anankeastro.com.

Anankeastro produces Fated Birthdate reports, year-ahead reports, weekly and monthly forecasts and two-person synastry comparisons from birth charts and Swiss Ephemeris data, and may offer a permanent Calling×MBTI whole-chart report that combines natal structure with a self-reported MBTI expression lens. Free surfaces return a summary of what a calculation found — counts, coarse distributions and a few descriptive lines — and not the calculation dataset itself. A purchase delivers that dataset in full together with a written interpretation of it. Any interpreted report is a symbolic interpretation, not a deterministic prediction. The Service — anything that transmits account or birth details to us, or requires payment — is offered to users in the United States and the United Kingdom. It is not directed to individuals located in the European Economic Area (EEA).

Some pages on this site are free general information that requires no account and stores nothing about the reader on our systems. The daily horoscope asks for no birth details, and neither does Zodiac×MBTI: you choose a Sun sign and an MBTI, and that choice only decides which page opens. Those pages may be read from anywhere. Reading them does not make the Service available to you, and it does not change the paragraph above.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to use the Service or buy a reading.

The Anankeastro Android app is licensed, not sold. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use it for your own non-commercial use; your use of the app is also subject to Google Play's terms. Anankeastro is the website, the app and the store listing; there is no second name.

Purchases are made inside the Anankeastro app through Google Play. Google processes your payment and any applicable taxes and shows the final price and currency at checkout; we never receive or store your card details. Prices are shown before you confirm. One-time interpretations are delivered after generation; subscription interpretations are available for each current covered period while access is active. The website directs you to the app to buy.

Optional tree-planting add-on. Some one-time purchases offer an optional added amount at checkout. It is never pre-selected, and skipping it changes nothing about what you receive. Choosing it adds a stated amount to the total; we then add an equal amount ourselves and use the combined sum to buy reforestation from Ecologi, a certified B Corporation and not a charity. It is a purchase from a supplier and it is not a donation: it is not tax-deductible, and no receipt is issued for it. Trees are bought in a single monthly batch after the refund window has closed, so we do not promise a particular tree, location or planting date. Refunding the order refunds this amount with it. Weekly interpretations are offered with weekly or six-month billing, and monthly interpretations with monthly or annual billing. These are auto-renewing subscriptions billed through Google Play. Your subscription renews automatically for the selected period at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Google Play; cancellation stops the next renewal and your access continues until the end of the paid period. Deleting your account does not, by itself, cancel a Google Play subscription — you must also cancel it in Google Play. Any introductory offer applies once, on the terms shown at purchase.

One-time reports and interpretations are digital products, so all sales are final once the purchased output has been generated. App refunds are handled through Google Play, and if a technical fault on our side prevents delivery we will put it right — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy. An optional tree-planting add-on belongs to the order it was bought in and is refunded with it. Your mandatory statutory rights are not affected.

Use the Service lawfully and for your own personal use. Do not resell outputs, scrape or overload the service, or submit another living person's identifying data without a lawful basis to do so. For synastry we ask only for an alias and the other person's birth date, time and place. Calculation-only synastry results are not saved to an account; choosing to save or unlock an interpretation persists the minimal details described in our Privacy Policy.

The site, the app, the scoring engine and its outputs are our property. Your output is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use.

The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee any particular result, event or outcome, and the Service is not professional advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from an output is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

We may update the Service or these Terms. Material changes are posted here with a new effective date; continued use means you accept them.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, and disputes are subject to the courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. If you are a consumer in the United States or the United Kingdom, this does not deprive you of the mandatory protections of your country or state of residence, where you may also bring proceedings.
